Well, finally I finished my work on the news pages script. Now instead of showing the news from the PHP script, static HTML pages are generated. This approach should decrease the server load, and also it is safer. Besides, the script generates also the RSS-feed, so you do not have to visit the news page from time to time looking for changes. Just subscribe to the RSS with any newsreader and be in the know! Since last update several new versions of Total Commander have been released; all they have now corresponding russification packages. After long period of beta-testing, the plugin VirtualDisk receives the Final status. Comparing to the last version (beta 3) there are not so many changes. Main ones are: adding the FAQ section into the ReadMe files, and more detailed error messages for the most frequent situations (like not installed driver). You can download the latest version here.

Today an updated version of NoClose Replacer program was released. New in version 1.2: incorrect work in Win9x was fixed, and support for environment variables in path was added. Also, the russification package for MFC AppWizard of Visual C++ 2005 was released. You can see the Russian version of this page for details.

The update of the plugin NL_Info to the version 1.11 was released: fixed a bug in processing the "Reparse Point Type (Ext)" field (search files using this field worked incorrectly).

Today the long-awaited update of the VirtualDisk was released - version 1.3 beta 3! In this version the most wanted "Mount on reboot" function was implemented, and also correct 64-bit drivers were added which allows to work with the plugin under 64-bit Windows versions (for x64 the driver was tested, for Intel Itanium it wasn't, because I don't have such a computer). Important!Do read the ReadMe file to know how to install the driver under 64-bit systems! (In brief: it must be installed from Windows Explorer only.)

So, after a long wait, today there is an update. - The plugin NL_Info was updated to the version 1.10: two new data fields were added, and the installation file pluginst.inf was updated (two new description translations were added).
- The tool NoClose Replacer was updated to the version 1.1: new parameters were added that allow to use different command processors in Win9x and WinNT, and also there is now a possibility to specify several different command interpreters.
- A plugin the the text editor EmEditor was added: Codepage Converter. It allows to convert the text (whole or some part of it) from one codepage to another.

The program URLFileSize updated to the version 2.0. The main changes are: the updated interface; single multilingual version instead of separate versions for different languages; possibility to pass the URL through command-line parameter; better work with clipboard. The full list of changes can be found in the ReadMe file in the program's archive. Also the archive with the NL_Info plugin was updated: German translation was added. And finally, some changes on the forum were made: fixed bug with marking the forums read, and made several minor cosmetic corrections.

With updating the file-manager Total Commander to version 6.52, its russification package also has been updated. You can see the Russian version of this page for details. Also in this version of TC a bug in NL_Info plugin was found: searching by junction type did not work. Now this bug is fixed, and also Polish and Ukranian interface translations were added. The newest version (1.02) you can download by this link.

From the last news published the plugin Virtual Disk was updated twice: first to the version 1.30 beta 1, and then to the 1.30 beta 2. Beginning from this version, I include in the package not original driver from Bo Brantén, but one modified by me. That's why I distribute these versions as beta-versions: the driver programming has its specific features, and I'm not sure enough that the driver I produced will work absolutely correctly. The main changes in the version 1.30 are: - Possibility to emulate floppy-drives.
- Renaming of the driver from FileDisk into VD_FileDisk, that solved conflicts with the programs that use the similar driver (for example, WinImage 7.0+).
- The plugin can now operate without administrator priviledges (though installing the driver needs them).
- The driver installation can be performed easier now, by means of INF-file.

Well, here is an update on the site. I could not make it before because of much work I had… Now, there are the following changes: - The program NoClose Replacer was added, that allows to run console applications from the file manager Total Commander without automatic closing the console window.
- A new icons set for Total Commander in Windows XP style was added. This pack includes an ICL-file with icons for different files and folders, and also a DLL-file with pictures for drive buttons.
- The program NTFS Links was updated to version 1.21: a Polish translation was added and one small interface bug was fixed.
- The Programs page was reorganized: all that concerns Total Commander is now combined together in a single table.

The list of plugins now contains one more item: NL_Info 1.01. This is a content plugin that allows to view information about hard links and reparse points on NTFS volumes. It needs Windows 2000/XP/2003 and Total Commander 6.50 or newer. More detailed description you can find either on the description page, or in ReadMe file in plugin's archive.
